Ildaruni Armenian Black metal

ldaruni is a black metal band from Yerevan, Armenia. The band came into existence in 2016; emerging as a raging force from the depths of the Armenian underground metal scene. Solidifying a permanent line-up, the band was focused on live performances while recording the first demo "Towards Subterranean Realms" which came to light in July 2018.

In 2020. Ildaruni signed a deal with Swedish label Black Lion Records, commencing a new chapter and announcing exclusive details about the debut album "Beyond Unseen Gateways." On the 16th of April 202s, the long-awaited album was released under the banner of Black Lion Records, consisting of eight compositions, unearthing a mesmeric path to the heathen past and provenance. The conceptual story behind the album denoted certain historical events, spiritual excerpts, and sacred/mysteries of the Urartian (Van) kingdom, which was concealed under the veil of time.

The album was recorded by Armen Shaverdi at Guitar Clinic Studio in Armenia. Then it was mixed and mastered by George Emmanuel (Lucifer's Child, and ex-Rotting Christ) at Pentagram Studio in Greece, while the artwork and layout were created by Erskine Designs, who perfectly captured the essential concept of the album.

Ildaruni’s new album marks a powerful evolution, moving away from their pagan/folk roots to fully embrace raw, atmospheric black metal. Inspired by ancient mysticism and lore, the record weaves dark, immersive soundscapes featuring melodic chanting, authentic choir, and grand orchestral arrangements.

Nine ominous initiations that are set to transform you into the storm of nomos and burning gnosis. A work of mystical upheaval, a sermon to the bestower of creed who will guide through the ghastly pathways to the ladders of Apothanaitismos.

The album was recorded by Armen Shaverdi at Guitar Clinic Studio in Armenia. Then it was mixed and mastered by Christoph Brandes (Imperium Dekadenz, Krilloan) at Iguana Studios in Germany, while the artwork of the album was created by Khaos Diktator Design and the layout by Heresie Studio.
